This is a really great quilting design idea, one that all the professional quilters use, but there are many others that you will want to try out as well.
Performing a bleed test on your fabric before using it is another great tip that you will want to be aware of. This is very simple to do, and all you need to do is submerge a small piece of your fabric in soapy water, and make sure that you use the same soap and water temperature you would normally use.
Then all you do to finish this test off is you let the fabric sit in this soapy solution for about a half hour, and check to see what color the water is. If any color of the fabric has come off, you will see it in the water.
If the water is clear, you will still want to try one more thing and that is to remove the patch and before rinsing, place it on a wet paper towel.
